Gladtidings House of Prayer for all Nations
One church Multiple locations
The concept of Gladtidings Pentecostal Assembly was birthed in 1980, under the leadership of Reverend Hezron Farrell and Sis. Gwendolyn Farrell in their home in Boston. After growing a following of children and some faithful members, the church moved to the YMCA to receive the swell of members. Three years later, a building was purchased and renovated, and G.P.A was registered as a non-profit organization in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In 1984, the vision for the church expanded into the international community and Reverend Farrell began to travel to the West Indies and England preaching the good news and winning souls for the Lord. Reverend Hezron Farrell and now Co-Pastor Gwendolyn Farrell expanded their international evangelism ministry to include South Africa, Israel, Thailand, England, St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Thomas and several other countries.
Between 1992 and 1998, due to the great swell of membership, an acre of land was purchased in the Mattapan area of Boston and a larger edifice was built. GPA continued its expansion of services and ministries: including a Praise and Worship Team, food pantry, the Henrietta Scholarship Fund for high school graduates, the Girls and Boys Brigade and the Vision’s pantomime and dance ministry.
In 2000, Reverend Hezron Farrell was consecrated to the office of Bishop. In 2001 Co-Pastor Gwendolyn Farrell was consecrated to the Pastoral office, six youth ministers were added to the church along with Evangelists and Missionaries and an Evangelist outreach was established in Providence, Rhode Island and the G.P.A. Christian Academy was instituted.
In 2002, Gladtidings Pentecostal Assembly, Inc. established a second location in Poinciana, Florida with Bishop Farrell as the overseer. Gladtidings Poinciana was created as a satellite church to reach and save more souls in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today the church is a thriving extension of the vision of the church in Boston MA
Today we are one church in multiple locations serving the needs of our community, our members, and all those in need.
